월요일 저녁 연변대학예술학원 소극장에서는뮤지컬 '로미오와 줄리엣'의 공연이 있었다. 연변대학예술학원 연극학부는 중국에 단 하나밖에 없는 조선말로 연극을 가르치는 학과이다.
이번 공연은 연변에서도 사라질 위기에 놓인 조선족 연극문화를 다시 살리기 위한 실험공연이었으나, 그 풋풋한 젊음과 열기로 극장 안은사뭇 고조되고두 젊은 사랑의 기쁨과 슬픔이 봄밤을 적시는 시간이었다.
아름다운 베로나에 슬픈 사랑의 이야기 있으니~~~
가면무도회에서 처음 만난 로미오와 줄리엣
테라스에서의 두번째 만남
능청스런 유모의 중매 역할
신부님을 모시고 둘만의 결혼을 올리고
영원을 약속하며 사랑의 아리아를 부른다
원수지간인 몬태규가와 캐플릿가의 싸움과 살인 그리고 추방
자결하려는 로미오를 위로하는 신부
추방을 앞둔 짧고 아쉬운 밤
둘은 영원을 약속한다
부모의 강제결혼을 피하여약을 먹는 줄리엣
줄리엣의 임시 죽음을 모른채 슬퍼하는 로미오
로미오의 주검앞에 오열하는 줄리엣
결국 줄리엣은 로미오를 따라가는데
하느님 이 어찌된 운명입니까?
객석을 가득 메운 관객의 환호 속에 막은 내리고...........
